Aaron Small 
Certified Athletic Therapist

Aaron, originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, brings a strong academic and clinical background to our rehabilitation and performance team.

He holds a degree in Athletic Therapy through the University of Manitoba’s Kinesiology program. During his time out west, Aaron gained extensive experience working with varsity athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, track and field, swimming, and golf, including time with the University of Manitoba Bisons Football team and the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL.

As a Certified Athletic Therapist CAT(c) and Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT), Aaron takes a movement-focused approach to rehabilitation, blending manual therapy and exercise to address a wide range of injuries. He specializes in on-field and sideline injury assessment, protective taping, wound care, emergency response, and safe return-to-play planning.

Aaron currently serves as the Head Athletic Therapist for the Newfoundland Regiment Hockey Club, where he works closely with high-performance athletes throughout the season, overseeing injury management, rehabilitation, return-to-play decision making, and game-day medical coverage.

Aaron is also a Certified First Responder and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers.
